FONDATION CARNOT

Ecole Polytechnique - Annual Fellowships of 6000 Euros

 

 

Since 1997, fellowships are awarded annually to students of French nationality graduating from the “École Polytechnique” who, at the end of their three years of study, continue their education in a foreign university. Only the scientific disciplines are eligible.

 

Projects leading to a doctoral degree (PhD) are preferred, but master programs are also taken into consideration.

 

There is a maximum of three, 6000€ fellowships awarded each year. They can be held concurrently with subsidized loans set up by the “Fondation de l’X” as well as with a paid position offered by the host institution.

 

An advisory group of Mentors has been created to guide our Fellows in their career development. Meetings between Fellows and Mentors are organized several times a year, with meetings announced well in advanced to allow for as many participants as possible. A private Internet community allows for regular information exchange.

 

The pre-selection of candidates is carried out jointly with the “Fondation de l’X”. This is followed by an interview, in March, with the Carnot Foundation Jury, which will make the final selection.
