Université de Bourgogne - Annual Fellowships of 7000 Euros

 

 

 

Since 1997, fellowships are awarded annually to students of French nationality in the Science Department at the “Université de Bourgogne”. The fellowships finance one-year post-doctoral internships for research programs that have been accepted by foreign laboratories.

 

There is a maximum of two, 7000€ fellowships per year. They are offered not only to PhD’s but also to doctoral students having finished their second year of thesis research in the Physics and Chemistry laboratories and who are in the process of discussing a research project with a foreign laboratory.

 

An advisory group of Mentors has been created to guide our Fellows in their career development. Meetings between Fellows and Mentors are organized several times a year, with meetings announced well in advanced to allow for as many participants as possible. A private Internet community allows for regular information exchange.

 

The pre-selection of candidates is made by former Carnot Fellows currently working for the “Université de Bourgogne”. This is followed by an interview, in September, with the Carnot Foundation Jury, which will make the final selection.
